Unfortunately disappointed

First, I have bought many shoes from this website (~4 per year), and I generally like them a lot, so this review only applies to this specific shoe. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with how these look. I know they are described as "Full grain high quality leather upper" but they lack the look of quality leather that i usually associate with shoes from here. Instead of looking like soft warm leather, these look like shiny, cheap vinyl. I suspect that instead of dyed leather, these were stamped and then either painted or coated with some plasticky surface layer. They also fit slightly smaller than I'm used to from this website.
